Gade Valley Decorative & Fine Arts Society

Welcome to Gade Valley Decorative and Fine Arts Society

Gade Valley DFAS is a founder member society of NADFAS ( which is a leading educational arts charity, aiming to help as many people as possible to enjoy the arts. Gade Valley is a small, friendly society which meets monthly, between October and July, at Potten End Village Hall, near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire.

Members are offered an exciting and wide ranging programme of lectures, presented by highly knowledgeable experts. Lecturers are drawn from a pool of over 300 speakers, accredited by NADFAS and who offer a choice of over 4,000 lecture subjects.

In addition members can attend more in depth, special interest days and join visits to cultural venues such as art galleries, historic houses and gardens and museums.  Once a year members have the opportunity to book a cultural holiday either in the UK or abroad.

Run entirely by volunteers, the Society offers a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests, learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships.

We hope you will find out more in the About Us section, but it you would like to know more about membership, please click here.

As part of their rebranding, NADFAS are changing their name on 17th May
to The Arts Society.

It is therefore proposed that we should rename our society:

Your committee have decided that Gade Valley should follow this new branding and that we should start using this after 4th July, the date of our AGM. In order to do this we need to pass a Special Resolution at the AGM.
